Triggers
A Trigger is an automated prompt that Jade Note runs on your behalf, either on a schedule or when something happens in a category, producing an Insight each time it fires.
Creating a Trigger
Open the Triggers page and create a new one with:
- Name — a label for the Trigger
- Prompt — the instruction sent to the AI whenever it fires
- Conditions — either “Run on a schedule” or “On category event”
- Category — optionally scope the Trigger to one category, or leave it applying to all
Scheduled Triggers
Pick a time of day (08:00 by default) and toggle the days of the week it should run on. If you don’t select any days, the Trigger runs every day.
Event-based Triggers
Instead of a fixed time, the Trigger fires when a note is created in — or assigned to — the selected category.
Email notifications
Check Notify me by email when creating or editing a Trigger to also get an email whenever it produces an Insight.
Enabling and disabling
Each Trigger card has a toggle to turn it on or off at any time. A Trigger whose category has been deleted is shown greyed out with an “Invalid category” badge and can’t be re-enabled until that’s fixed. Use the category filter at the top of the page to see Triggers for just one category, and delete a Trigger from its edit dialog.
